Catalyzed dehydrogenation of amine boranes studied by nmr

Abstract

Rhodium cluster catalyzed dehydrogenation of the amine boranes, cyclohexylamine borane (CAB), t-butylamine borane (tBAB) and dimethylamine borane (DMAB), have been investigated using in situ solution multinuclear techniques. The time evolution of the reaction products was followed. Mechanistic implications of these findings will be discussed.
