Abstract
Experimental and theoretical results for a linear cavity, hybrid modelocked femtosecond dye laser are presented. This laser has improved insensitivity to angular misalignment of the cavity mirrors. Two novel linear resonator configurations are designed that allow for yet further improvements of insensitivity to mirror misalignment, or for intracavity frequency doubling or cavity dumping without requiring extra mirrors in the cavity.
