Abstract
A combination of femtosecond transient absorption (TA) in the visible and infrared spectral ranges, along with time-presolved photoluminescence, is applied to separate electron and hole dynamics and to map the structure of inter- and intra-band transitions in II-VI quantum dots with radii (R) from approximately 1 to approximately 4 nm and a wide range of surface passivation. A broadband TA spectra for CdSe colloidal nanocrystals with R = 1.73 nm at different pump-probe delay times is analyzed.
