Abstract

The impact of nanoscience and nanotechnology on heterogeneous catalysis and catalytic reaction engineering was described. A number of technical developments required to bring them to fruition were identified. The cost of manufacturing dropped rapidly with maturity of the technology with proven benefits, increased demands and improved techniques.
