Mesostructured cobalt and nickel molybdenum sulfides

Abstract

We report the synthesis of mesostructured cobalt and nickel molybdenum sulfides prepared by reacting MoS42- anions with Co2+ and Ni 2+ in formamide solution in the presence of alkyl-pyridinium surfactant molecules acting as template. These systems represent the first examples of templated mesostructured Co-Mo-S and Ni-Mo-S type materials.
