Nonlinear picosecond spectroscopy of zero-dimensional semiconductor

Abstract

Bleaching bands arising from the filling of space quantization levels were observed in the time-resolved differential transmission spectra of quasi-zero-dimensional CdSe microcrystals under picosecond laser excitation. The spectra of nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) and the relaxation times of the nonlinearity are determined for CdSe microcrystals of different size. The amplification regime and laser generation in the resonator made of the glass doped with CdSe microcrystals were achieved.
