PbSe/CdSe core-shell colloidal quantum dots with enhanced optical nonlinearities and dual-band infrared/visible emission

Abstract

We report more than ten-fold enhancement of two-photon absorption cross sections in PbSe/CdSe core-shell colloidal quantum dots due to resonant core-mediated transitions and Auger-assisted upconversion.
