Abstract

The high-T electrical conductivity in Fe1-xO is analysed at constant thermoelectric coefficient rather that at constant x. Small polaron conduction is p-type with an activation energy of 15.4 kJ/mole (0.16 eV), independent of composition. The electrical properties are consistent with the clusters known to exist in wustite. (Authors' abstract) -D.T.
